Campsite Odds answers one question: how hard is it to actually book that campsite? It scores thousands of Recreation.gov campgrounds by month-by-month booking difficulty — so you can see which ones vanish the moment the reservation window opens and which are realistically bookable.

Campsite Odds is built by Sharon Ben-Moshe, its founder. Sharon Ben-Moshe is the founder of Campsite Odds, where she turns Recreation.gov's public reservation history into a plain answer to "how hard is it to actually book this campsite?"

Every score is computed from reservation history, not opinion. See the methodology for the exact formula and the data sources for where the numbers come from.

Heads up: the odds shown right now are computed from a sample demonstration dataset while real Recreation.gov reservation ingestion is being finalized — treat them as illustrative, not authoritative.
